Peer Street seeks second extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 19 – Peer Street, Inc. is seeking a second extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the company asked the court to extend the exclusive plan filing period through May 22 from Jan. 23 and the exclusive solicitation period through July 23 from March 25.

“Extensive resources have been required of the debtors and its professionals to achieve the measures reached in the Chapter 11 cases to date,” the company said in the motion.

“In light of these circumstances, the debtors submit that the requested extensions are both appropriate and necessary to afford the debtors with sufficient time to adequately prepare a viable Chapter 11 plan and related disclosure statement.”

A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 16.

The El Segundo, Calif.-based company filed bankruptcy on June 26, 2023 under Chapter 11 case number 23-10815.
