Kidde-Fenwal’s AFFF mediation extended through May

Olympia, Wash., April 30 – Kidde-Fenwal, Inc.’s mediation over issues related to lawsuits against the company asserting claims arising from the design, manufacture, distribution and sale of aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) has been extended through May, according to a stipulation filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The court appointed retired bankruptcy judge Robert D. Drain and former district judge Layn R. Phillips to serve as mediators, as previously reported.

The industrial fire detection and suppression company is based in Ashland, Mass. The company filed bankruptcy on May 14, 2023 under Chapter 11 case number is 23-10638.
