Ryze Renewables wishes to extend exclusive period to file plan

Chicago, July 7 – Ryze Renewables II, LLC and Ryze Renewables Las Vegas LLC are soliciting the court to extend the exclusive periods to file a Chapter 11 plan and solicit acceptances, according to a motion filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Ryze is asking the court to extend the exclusive periods by 120 days, from July 7 for the plan period and from Sept. 5 for the solicitation period.

The extension, if granted, would give Ryze exclusivity through Nov. 6 to file a plan and through Jan. 3, 2024 to solicit acceptances.

The debtor is seeking a first extension on the basis that the sale of its assets was complex and labor-intensive. With the asset sale underway and moving towards closing, Ryze can now focus on filing a plan and exiting Chapter 11.

A hearing is expected to be held on July 25 regarding the exclusivity extensions.

The Las Vegas-based renewable fuel producer filed bankruptcy on March 9 under Chapter 11 case number 23-10289.
