Huaneng Hong Kong to redeem $500 million perpetuals on Oct. 30

Buffalo, N.Y., Oct. 12 – Huaneng Hong Kong Capital Ltd. will fully redeem its $500 million senior perpetual capital securities guaranteed by China Hua Neng Group Hong Kong Ltd. and China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., according to a redemption notice on Wednesday.

The perpetuals were issued in 2017 and will be redeemed in whole at par plus any distribution accrued to the Oct. 30 redemption date.

Upon redemption, the securities will be delisted from the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd.

Based in Beijing, Huaneng develops, constructs and operates large power plants in China.
