Volunteer Energy gets extension of exclusive solicitation period

Olympia, Wash., March 24 – Volunteer Energy Services Inc. received an extension of its exclusive solicitation period through May 19 from Jan. 19, according to an order filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

The hearing on the disclosure statement is scheduled for March 28.

The company had asked for the extension after filing an amended plan of liquidation.

The Pickerington, Ohio-based retail energy provider filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on March 25, 2022 under case number 22-50804.
