Volunteer Energy must file amended plan by Jan. 20, court says

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 17 – Volunteer Energy Services Inc. has to file an amended Chapter 11 plan and disclosure statement by Jan. 20, according to an order filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

The court held an initial hearing on the disclosure statement on Jan. 10.

At the hearing, the court expressed concerns with respect to the disclosure statement and directed the debtor to file an amended plan of liquidation and disclosure statement that address those concerns.

After the new documents are filed, the court will schedule a new disclosure statement hearing.

The Pickerington, Ohio-based retail energy provider filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on March 25, 2022 under case number 22-50804.
