Red River Waste seeks fifth extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., July 20 – Red River Waste Solutions, LP asked for a fifth extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

The company asked the court to extend the plan filing period through Aug. 16 from June 14 and the solicitation period through Oct. 14 from Aug. 16.

As previously reported, the company has filed a Chapter 11 plan. The disclosure statement hearing is slated for July 28.

The company said it is working on revising the plan to include the terms of a settlement with Union Bank.

Red River noted that it spent 37 days mediating with the bank in order to reach the settlement and spent another 14 days working toward approval of a sale order, both of which impact the plan.

The Dripping Springs, Tex.-based waste management company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 14, 2021 under Chapter 11 case number 21-42423.
