Red River Waste Solutions seeks fourth extension of exclusive periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., April 18 – Red River Waste Solutions, LP is seeking a fourth extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Specifically, the company asked the court to extend the plan filing period through June 14 from May 12 and the solicitation period through Aug. 16 from July 14.

On Feb. 9, the debtor filed a Chapter 11 toggle plan that allows for a possible recapitalization and restructuring or a sale and distribution of sale proceeds.

The company said the extension will provide the debtor the opportunity to finalize negotiating with certain key creditors, continue its investigations, complete its sale or recapitalization process, and solicit a Chapter 11 plan.

The Dripping Springs, Tex.-based waste management company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 14, 2021 under Chapter 11 case number 21-42423.
