Red River Waste requests another extension of exclusive periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., March 29 – Red River Waste Solutions, LP is seeking another extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

The company asked the court to extend the plan filing period through May 12 from April 12 and the solicitation period through July 14 from June 14.

On Feb. 9, the debtor filed a Chapter 11 toggle plan that allows for a possible recapitalization and restructuring or a sale and distribution of sale proceeds.

Because the company is still unsure which plan feature to implement, it previously sought and received a 30-day extension of its exclusive periods.

“Notwithstanding those previous extensions and the progress made to date in this bankruptcy case, the debtor is working to pursue a value maximizing sale process while engaging with all parties to determine the best outcome for the debtor and all stakeholders,” the company said in its motion.

The Dripping Springs, Tex.-based waste management company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 14 under Chapter 11 case number 21-42423.
