Calypte receives going-concern opinion

Erie, Pa., April 7 - Calypte Biomedical Corp. said its independent registered public accounting firm included a going-concern explanatory paragraph in its report on Calypte's consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31.

The qualification was included as a result of Calypte's recurring net losses and negative cash flows from operations.

Located in Lake Oswego, Ore., Calypte develops and commercializes diagnostic testing products for the detection of sexually transmitted diseases.
