Diocese of Norwich reports $284,363 net profit for January

Olympia, Wash., Feb. 23 – Norwich Roman Catholic Diocesan Corp., known as the Roman Catholic Diocese of Norwich, reported a $284,363 net profit for January on $1.38 million of gross income, according to its monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.

To compare, the diocese posted a $1.56 million net loss for December on $796,158 of gross income.

The cash balance at the end of January was $6.61 million, up from $6.33 million at the end of December.

The Norwich, Conn.-based diocese filed bankruptcy on July 15, 2021 under Chapter 11 case number 21-20687.
