Gamco buys more shares of California Micro Devices

Charlotte, N.C., March 25 - California Micro Devices Corp. investors led by Gamco Asset Management Inc. raised their ownership interest to 9.28% with the purchase of 19,400 shares of the company's stock.

The shares were acquired between Feb. 24 and March 5 at prices from $1.85 to $1.95 each, it was reported in schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

Gamco and its affiliates beneficially own 2,184,950 shares of the company's stock.

California Micro Devices is a Milpitas, Calif.-based maker of application-specific protection devices and display electronics devices for the mobile handset, digital consumer electronics and personal computer markets.
