Gabelli, Gamco lift stake in California Micro Devices to 7.51%

Tacoma, Wash., Oct. 8 - California Micro Devices Corp. investors led by Gabelli Funds, LLC and Gamco Asset Management Inc. have spent $841,865 since February 2008 to acquire additional shares of the company's stock, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The purchases increased the investors' ownership of the company to 7.51% from 6.38%.

The reporting persons beneficially own 1,758,850 shares of the company's stock. They reported owning 1,481,300 shares on Feb. 4, 2008.

California Micro Devices is a Milpitas, Calif.-based maker of application-specific protection devices and display electronics devices for the mobile handset, digital consumer electronics and personal computer markets.
