Turkey’s Pegasus Airlines closes sustainability-linked aircraft-secured term loan

Chicago, Jan. 19 – Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS closed on a sustainability-linked aircraft-secured term loan, according to a release.

The term loan is guaranteed by UK Export Finance for the financing of 10 new Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Societe Generale was the global arranger, sustainability structurer, facility agent and security trustee.

The loan will be linked to key performance indicators related to carbon intensity of flights and gender diversity in management positions.

Pegasus Airlines will address its environmental targets through fleet optimization, operations efficiency, and sustainable aviation fuels usage. To reach its gender diversity objectives, the airline will strengthen long- standing commitments in promoting gender balance.

Pegasus is a low-cost Turkish are carrier with headquarters in Istanbul.
