SPO increases investment in Advent Software with share purchase

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 10 - SPO Partners II, LP bought 335,000 shares of Advent Software, Inc. stock between Aug. 28 and Sept. 7 priced from $39.72 to $40.99 per share, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The reporting persons own 7,073,400 shares, or 27.5%, of the San Francisco workflow software company.

On Aug. 28, SPO reported ownership of 6,746,300 shares, or 26.2%, of Advent Software's outstanding stock.
