Carlyle prices its fourth dollar-denominated CLO of year; THL closes $508.4 million CLO

Tupelo, Miss., Dec. 11 – Carlyle CLO Management LLC sold $609.3 million of notes in a new CLO offering expected to close later this month.

The deal is the manager’s fourth new dollar-denominated CLO priced in 2018.

The broadly syndicated CLO market has remained active in December.

THL Credit Advisors LLC announced on Monday that it closed on its previously reported $508.4 million THL Credit Wind River 2018-3 CLO Ltd./THL Credit Wind River 2018-3 LLC transaction.

“With the completion of our third and final new issue CLO of 2018, THL Credit has climbed the ranks to become one of the top 15 US CLO managers with respect to total CLO assets under management,” Chris Flynn, chief executive officer of THL Credit, said in the release.

In the offering, the CLO priced the $299.5 million senior tranche of class A-1 floating-rate notes (AAA/AAA) at Libor plus 115 basis points.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. was the placement agent.

In its deal, Carlyle CLO Management priced $609.3 million of notes due Jan. 20, 2031 in the Carlyle US CLO 2018-4 Ltd./Carlyle US CLO 2018-4 LLC broadly syndicated transaction via Citigroup Global Markets, according to a market source.

At the top of the capital stack, the CLO sold $372 million of class A-1a senior secured floaters at Libor plus 117 bps.
