Books-A-Million's Clyde Anderson owns 51.6% of company's stock

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 19 - Books-A-Million, Inc. executive chairman Clyde B. Anderson reported beneficial ownership of 8,073,461 shares, or 51.6%, of the company's stock in a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shares were made for investment purposes. However, Anderson and certain other members of this family who are reporting persons plan to review their investment and may choose to have discussions with the company or with the Birmingham, Ala.-based book retailer's shareholders.
