BlackRock prices €416.5 million; Carlyle brings fourth CLO of year; Cent CLO 22 refinances

Eureka Springs, Ark., Nov. 2 – Details emerged on new CLO issuance in the U.S. and European primary markets and a vintage 2014 deal refinanced in the U.S. market.

BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Ltd. priced €416.5 million of notes in the new euro-denominated CLO.

Carlyle GMS CLO Management LLC priced $508.45 million of notes in the firm’s fourth new CLO transaction of the year.

Columbia Management Investment Advisors, LLC refinanced $495.85 million of 10-year notes in a 2014 CLO.

BlackRock Investment Management (UK) priced €416.5 million of notes due Jan. 15, 2030 in the BlackRock European CLO II DAC transaction, according to a market source.

The CLO sold €244 million of class A senior secured floating-rate notes at Euribor plus 98 basis points at the top of the capital structure.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. arranged the transaction.

The deal is backed primarily by euro-denominated broadly syndicated senior secured loans and bonds.

BlackRock Investment Management (UK) is a London-based subsidiary of BlackRock, Inc.

In its deal, Carlyle GMS CLO Management priced $508.45 million of notes due Nov. 30, 2027 in the offering, according to a market source.

Carlyle US CLO 2016-4, Ltd./Carlyle US CLO 2016-4 LLC placed $302.5 million of class A-1 senior secured floating-rate notes at Libor plus 143 bps in the senior tranche.

Citigroup was the placement agent.
