New Issue: Malaysia’s Kumpulan subsidiary sells RM 1 billion 12- to 21-year sukuk

Madison, Wis., Aug. 28 – Malaysia’s Kumpulan Europlus Bhd. announced that West Coast Expressway Sdn. Bhd. issued RM 1 billion of sukuk on Friday.

The sukuk are guaranteed by Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd. and Danajamin Nasional Bhd. with tenors ranging from 12 to 21 years.

Proceeds will be used to partially finance project costs for the development and construction of the West Coast Expressway, which extends from Taiping in Perak to Banting in Selangor.

West Coast Expressway is an 80% subsidiary of Kumpulan Europlus, an investment holding company based in Kuala Lumpur.
