C. Wonder eyes initial extension of plan filing, solicitation periods

By Kali Hays

New York, April 23 – C. Wonder, LLC is seeking an extension of its exclusive plan filing and solicitation periods, according to an April 23 motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.

The company asked that its plan filing period be extended to July 21 and solicitation period to Sept. 9.

“Dealing with the sales of their assets and issues attendant thereto, as well as making the transition to Chapter 11, has made it difficult for the debtors to file a liquidation plan,” the motion said.

“The debtors, however, have already completed an initial draft of their plan of orderly liquidation, which will provide for the distribution of the net proceeds of the sales of liquidation of any remaining assets.”

A hearing to consider the extension is set for May 18.

C. Wonder, a New York-based specialty retailer, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 22. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-11127.
