Moody's may cut four Tunisian banks

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the local- and foreign-currency deposit ratings of four Tunisian banks on review for possible downgrade in light of its global review of systemic support indicators and stress testing for the banking systems. Bank financial strength ratings of affected Tunisian banks remain unchanged.

Amen Bank's Baa2/prime-2 global local-currency and foreign-currency deposit ratings were placed on review for possible downgrade. The bank's D- bank financial strength rating remains unchanged with a stable outlook.

Banque de Tunisie's Baa1/prime-2 global local-currency deposit rating and Baa2/prime-2 foreign-currency deposit rating were placed on review for possible downgrade. The bank's D+ bank financial strength rating remains unchanged with a stable outlook.

Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie's Baa1/prime-2 global local-currency deposit rating and Baa2/prime-2 foreign-currency deposit rating were placed on review for possible downgrade. The bank's D bank financial strength rating remains unchanged with a stable outlook.

Société Tunisienne de Banque's Baa2/prime-2 global local-currency and foreign-currency deposit ratings were placed on review for possible downgrade. The bank's E+ bank financial strength rating remains unchanged with a stable outlook.
