Cyrte sells more than 3.17 million shares of Vivo Participacoes

Charlotte, N.C., May 6 - Vivo Participacoes SA shareholders led by Cyrte Investments BV sold 3,179,700 shares of the company's stock between Feb. 19 and April 30, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Cyrte beneficially owns 15,405,308 shares, or 6.47%, of the Sao Paulo, Brazil-based cellular telecommunications company.
