Vanguard closes its Federal, Admiral money market funds to investors

Minneapolis, Dec. 23 - Vanguard Money Market Reserves said that its Federal Money Market Fund will no longer open new accounts for its investors and its Admiral Treasury Money Market Fund will no longer accept any additional investments, according to an N-1A form with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

There is no specific time frame as to when either fund will reopen.

Vanguard is a Valley Forge, Pa.-based investment management company and provider of company-sponsored retirement plan services.
