Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index Fund drops 0.25% purchase fee

San Diego, Feb. 29 - The Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index Fund has dropped its 0.25% purchase fee, effective immediately, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition, the fund's 0.25% non-contingent redemption fee has been replaced by a 2% redemption fee on shares redeemed before two months.

Valley Forge, Pa.-based Vanguard Group, Inc. serves as investment adviser to the fund.
