Moody's lifts Baldwin County, Ala., debt to Aa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa2 rating to Baldwin County, Ala.'s $24.6 million of general obligation warrants, series 2008-B.

Concurrently, Moody's said it upgraded to Aa2 the rating on the county's $107.23 million of previously issued parity debt.

Moody's said the upgrade reflects the county's history of fiscal management and solid financial position.

Sale of the series 2008-B warrants is expected on April 30.
