Stralem Fund establishes nominating committee to oversee board

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Oct. 17 - Stralem Fund said it will establish a nominating committee, comprised solely of the fund's independent trustees, which will oversee the composition of the fund's board of trustees as well as its various committees.

According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the nominating committee will operate under a written charter and is also responsible for nominating qualified individuals to the board.

The nominating committee will be established on Nov. 1 and thus did not meet during the fiscal year ended Oct. 31.

The fund has an existing audit committee, which is comprised of its independent trustees and is led by chairman Kenneth Pearlman. The audit committee's responsibilities are to work with the fund's independent registered public accounting firm.

Stralem Fund is a management investment company that offers one series portfolio, the Stralem Equity Fund. Its adviser is New York-based Stralem & Co. Inc.
