Robeco Investment Funds' institutional shares may be bought 'in kind'

By Tali David

Minneapolis, March 23 - Robeco Investment Funds announced that the institutional class shares of its funds may be purchased "in kind" in some circumstances, according to a 497 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The securities rendered in connection with an in-kind purchase, which is paid for in securities rather than in cash, must be liquid securities that are not restricted as to transfer and must have a value that is readily ascertainable in accordance with the company's valuation procedures, Robeco said.

The funds' investment adviser is New York-based Robeco Investment Management, Inc.
