Kopp-led investors own more than 6.79 million shares of Rae Systems

Charlotte, N.C., May 26 - Rae Systems, Inc. investors led by Kopp Investment Advisors, LLC beneficially own 6,794,577 shares, or 11.45%, of the company following a series of buy and sell transactions that occurred between March 16 and May 15, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday.

The San Jose, Calif.-based company develops and manufactures chemical and radiation detection monitors and networks for energy exploration and production, industrial safety, environmental monitoring and remediation, public safety and military applications.
