Powermate U.S. Trustee names unsecured creditors committee

Portland, Ore., March 27 - Powermate Corp.'s U.S. Trustee has appointed the official committee of unsecured creditors for the company's bankruptcy case, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee is comprised of Jay H. Peck of Robin America, Wood Dale, Ill.; Peng Yuan Pu of Sumec Machinery & Electric Co., Ltd., Nanjing, China; Philip D. Scheer of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Torrance, Calif.; Guan Dan Ying of Zhejiang Xinlei Mechanical & Electrical Co., Zhejiang China; Weidong Lu of Ningbo Alton Mechanical & Electrical Co., Bataria, Ill.; James E. Brenn of Briggs & Stratton Corp.; and Cheng Jiamin of China Export & Credit Insurance Corp., Beijing.

Powermate is an Aurora, Ill.-based manufacturer of portable and standby electric generators, air compressors, air tools, pressure washers and accessories. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10498.
