RiskMetrics supports Optibase over Scopus ahead of Monday meeting

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., June 12 - RiskMetrics Group recommended shareholders of Scopus Video Networks Ltd. vote in favor of Optibase Ltd.'s proposals to declassify the Scopus board of directors and to elect a slate of directors, Optibase announced on Thursday.

The proxy voting advisory firm also recommended shareholders vote against the proposal of Scopus' board of directors at the meeting set for June 16, an Optibase news release said.

In May, Optibase said it called the meeting to declassify the Scopus board and to elect a slate of directors.

Two of Optibase's nominees are current members of the Scopus board, it was previously reported.

Herzliya, Israel-based Optibase is a provider of equipment for professional video applications in the broadband internet protocol, television, broadcast, government, enterprise and post-production markets.

Scopus, located in Rosh Ha'ayin, Israel, develops and supports digital video networking, offering video gateways, encoders, decoders and network management products.
