New Issue: Olympique Lyonnais settles €24.03 million 7% five-year Oceanes

New York, Dec. 29 - Olympique Lyonnais Groupe SA announced the settlement of €24,032,930 of 7% convertibles in the Oceanes structure due Dec. 28, 2015.

Of the overall 3,310,321 of Oceanes, three principal shareholders subscribed for 2,359,183 while 235,400 and 142,819 were obtained in private and public offers, respectively.

Specifically, ICMI, Pathe and OJEJ took up 71.3% of the total transaction in the first stage of the offering, then investors in the public and private offerings purchased 11.4% of the Oceanes. Finally, ICMI and Pathe bought the remaining 17.3% in equal amounts.

Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and Lazard-Natixis were the joint lead managers and bookrunners.

Olympique Lyonnais said in a news release that it is pleased with the interest shown in the transaction, adding that the funds enable it to further strengthen its financial capacity and consolidate its position among the European football clubs in terms of its financial resources.

The offer was launched on Dec. 9.

The Lyon, France-based football and soccer club was founded in 1950 and is owned by Jean-Michel Aulas.
