National Home Health, Angelo Gordon affiliates extend termination date of merger agreement

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 30 - National Home Health Care Corp. and affiliates of Angelo Gordon & Co. extended the termination date of their merger agreement to Nov. 21 from Sept. 10, pending approval of the deal by the New York State Department of Health.

As a result, National Home Health may declare its next quarterly dividend for $0.175 per share instead of $0.075 per share.

National Home Health expects to hold its 2006 annual meeting of stockholders on or about Oct. 30, according to a company news release. It had been reported that shareholders approved a previously amended agreement on June 15, which gives them $12.75 per share in cash.

National Home Health is a Scarsdale, N.Y., home health care and staffing services company.
