Lucent to delist 5½%, 6½%, 6.45% notes

By Laura Lutz

Des Moines, Nov. 6 - Lucent Technologies announced that it will delist its 5½% notes due Nov. 15, 2008, 6½% debentures due Jan. 15, 2008 and 6.45% debentures due March 15, 2029 from the New York Stock Exchange.

The company plans to deregister the notes following the delisting, which is expected to become effective by the end of November.

Lucent is delisting and deregistering the notes to eliminate the administrative costs associated with them.

The terms of the notes will not be affected.

Based in Murray Hill, N.J., Lucent sells software and services for communications networks.
