Technifund reports 21.8% stake in Lorus Therapeutics

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 15 - Lorus Therapeutics Inc. investors led by Technifund Inc. and Herbert Abramson bought 17,112,611 shares of the company's stock for a total ownership interest of 21.8%.

The shares were purchased on Aug. 7 for $0.13 each, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Abramson beneficially owns 55,807,820 shares of the Toronto-based biopharmaceutical company's outstanding stock.
