Journal Communications shareholder Gamco reports purchase of 490,700 shares

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 5 - Investors led by Gamco Asset Management Inc. increased their ownership of Journal Communications, Inc. to 13.01% with the purchase of 490,700 shares, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The shares were acquired between Dec. 19 and Jan. 2 at prices from $2.0401 to $2.5503.
Between Oct. 20 and Dec. 18, Gamco acquired 463,500 shares, a prior SEC filing said.
Gamco beneficially owns 5,251,500 shares of the Milwaukee media company.
