Enbridge will not convert any series 5, 7 or P preferreds on March 1

Tacoma, Wash., Feb. 15 – Enbridge Inc. said none of three series of its cumulative redeemable preference shares will be converted on March 1.

According to separate news releases, none of the company’s series 5 preference shares will be converted into series 6 preference shares, none of its series 7 preference shares will be converted into series 8 preference shares, and none of its series P preference shares will be converted into series Q preference shares.

Holders had until Feb. 15 to deliver conversion notices. For each series, at least 1 million preference shares had to be tendered in order to effect conversions. This requirement was not met.

Enbridge is an energy infrastructure company based in Calgary, Alta.
