Kosmos Energy prepays $137.5 million, terminates term loan

Lexington, Ky., Sept. 18 – Kosmos Energy Ltd. on Sept. 15 prepaid the remaining $137.5 million principal outstanding on its five-year senior secured term-loan credit agreement with an affiliate of Beal Bank, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The loan, which was secured against the company’s U.S. Gulf of Mexico assets, was subsequently terminated.

Accrued interest was also paid.

CLMG Corp. was the administrative agent and term loan collateral agent.

The payment was made using cash on hand.

Kosmos is a Dallas-based deepwater energy exploration and production company.
