L3Harris draws $2 billion from three-year term loan to acquire Link 16

Los Angeles, Jan. 3 – L3Harris Technologies, Inc. drew $2 billion from its three-year senior unsecured term loan facility to pay the purchase price and expenses related to the acquisition of Viasat, Inc.’s tactical data links product line, commonly known as Link 16, according to an 8-K filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

L3Harris announced on Tuesday that it closed the acquisition of Link 16 for about $1.96 billion.

The term loan had a Nov. 22 closing date, according to an 8-K filed Nov. 28.

L3Harris is a Melbourne, Fla.-based aerospace and defense technology company.
