Dreyfus makes clean sweep of portfolio management team for four funds

San Diego, Dec. 14 - Dreyfus Index Funds, Inc. announced it has modified the portfolio management team for four of its funds, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The affected funds included the Dreyfus International Stock Index Fund, the Dreyfus S&P 500 Index Fund, the Dreyfus Smallcap Stock Index Fund and the Dreyfus Midcap Index Fund, Inc.

The portfolio managers are now Rebecca Gao, Lynn Hutchison, Dannyy Lai, Todd Rose and Marlene Walker Smith.

Previously, the team included Thomas J. Durante, Karent Q. Wong and Richard A. Brown.

New York-based Dreyfus Corp. serves as the fund's investment adviser.
