CytoCore, Diamics settle lawsuit

Tampa, Fla., April 5 - CytoCore, Inc., formerly Molecular Diagnostics, and Diamics, Inc. have amicably resolved the dispute between them pertaining to allegations of trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, patent infringement, copyright infringement and other causes of action raised in connection with litigation in Federal District Court in San Francisco, the companies said in a news release.

The case was Civil Action No. C-05-02549 SI.

Chicago-based CytoCore develops systems to assist in the early detection of cervical, endometrial and other cancers.

Novato, Calif.-based Diamics is a molecular-based cancer screening company initially focused on cervical screening.
