By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Nov. 16 - The Cushing Royalty & Income Fund has registered 40,000 shares at $25.00 apiece, according to an N-2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The offering has a 45-day greenshoe.

The fund seeks a high total return with an emphasis on current income. It will invest, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets plus any borrowings in securities of energy-related U.S. royalty trusts and Canadian royalty trusts and exploration and production companies; exploration and production Master Limited Partnerships; and securities of other companies in North America whose businesses are in the same types of fields.

No information about the fund's fees was given in the filing.

The fund is managed by Dallas-based Cushing MLP Asset Management, LP.
