Air China proposes to issue debt financing instruments

Los Angeles, April 25 – Air China Ltd. is proposing to issue debt financing instruments, according to a company announcement.

The debt financing instruments may include, among other types, ultra-short-term commercial paper, short-term commercial paper, mid-term notes, corporate bonds, domestic targeted debt financing instruments, overseas debt financing instruments and overseas bonds or notes denominated in renminbi or foreign currencies. The instruments will have terms of no more than 15 years.

Proceeds may be used for the company’s production and operations, adjusting its debt structure, replenishing its working capital or funding its project investments.

The proposed issuance is subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming annual general meeting scheduled for May 30.

The airline is based in Beijing.
