CompX shareholder has 32% stake

Charlotte, N.C., March 11 - CompX International Inc. investors led by Harold C. Simmons and NL Industries, Inc. reported beneficial ownership of 755,104 shares or 32% of the company's outstanding stock.

Between Feb. 24 and March 4, the investors bought 31,195 shares priced from $4.68 to $5.14 each.

The transactions were reported in a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

Dallas-based CompX manufactures security products, precision ball bearing slides and ergonomic computer support systems used in a variety of industries.
