Compugen seeks partners for therapeutic protein development

Seattle, Nov. 9 - Compugen Ltd. will seek partners for the development and commercialization of its therapeutic protein candidates during the second half of 2006.

The company announced its plans at the Rodman & Renshaw Techvest 7th Annual Healthcare Conference in New York.

Compugen has yet to select the next major technology it will develop, but any candidate must address a "major bottleneck" in drug development and "leverage the core competencies of Compugen," the company said.

Compugen is a biotechnology company based in San Jose, Calif.
