AgFeed USA gets fourth exclusivity extension to continue negotiations

New York, May 13 - AgFeed USA, LLC received court approval for an extension of its exclusive plan of liquidation filing and solicitation periods, according to a Tuesday order with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The exclusive filing period for the company is extended through June 5 from April 21, and its solicitation period through Aug. 4 from June 18.

As previously reported, the company sought the additional extension because it is in "active and ongoing negotiations with a number of constituencies in an effort to resolve the outstanding issues in connection with the plan," according to the motion.

AgFeed USA, an Ames, Iowa-based producer of animal feed, filed for bankruptcy on July 15, 2013. Its Chapter 11 case number is 13-11761.
