Columbia Management adds Mergen, Vanney as LifeGoal funds managers

Minneapolis, Nov. 16 - Columbia Funds Series Trust announced that Melda Mergen and Beth Vanney now serve as co-managers of the Columbia LifeGoal growth portfolio, balanced growth portfolio, income and growth portfolio and income portfolio.

Mergen and Vanney replace Kent Bergene and Kent Peterson, who no longer manage the funds, according to a press release.

From 1999 until joining the adviser in May, both Mergen and Vanney were associated with the funds' previous investment adviser or its predecessors as investment professionals.

Columbia Management is based in Boston.
