By Toni Weeks

San Diego, March 2 - The board of trustees of the Clearwater Investment Trust approved a name and investment strategy change to two of its funds, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Effective April 30, the Clearwater Growth Fund will be changed to the Clearwater Core Equity Fund. At the same time, its investment strategy will change so that under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of U.S. companies.

In addition, the Clearwater Small Cap Fund will be changed to the Clearwater Small Companies Fund. Its investment strategy will change so that it normally invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of small companies.

St. Paul-based Clearwater Management Co. serves as the funds' investment manager.
