Walter Energy sets noon ET investor conference call for $350 million six-year notes offering

Portland, Ore., Sept. 19 - Walter Energy, Inc. plans to participate in an investor conference call at noon ET on Thursday to discuss its $350 million offering of six-year senior secured notes, according to a syndicate source.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, BMO Capital Markets, Barclays, BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Agricole CIB, Goldman Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Scotia Capital are the joint bookrunners.

BB&T, BBVA, Comerica Securities, Fifth Third Securities, ING, Mizuho Securities, Natixis Securities, RBC Capital Markets, Regions Securities and TD Securities are the co-managers.

The Rule 144A for life notes come with three years of call protection.

Proceeds will be used to repurchase up to $175 million of the company's term loan A via Dutch auction and for general corporate purposes.

The prospective issuer is a Birmingham, Ala.-based pure-play metallurgical coal producer.
