Uruguay offering new bonds as part of exchange offer

Chicago, June 12 – The Republic of Uruguay is offering new Rule 144A and Regulation S bonds as part of a local exchange offer, the sovereign said in a news release.

The exchange offer, which began at 7 a.m. ET on Monday and will end at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, is for five series of dual-currency denominated notes.

Following the settlement for the exchange offering, which is expected to take place on June 20, the new bonds will be exchanged for the exchanged bonds.
