Fitch affirms Telephone and Data, U.S. Cellular

Fitch Ratings said it has affirmed the BBB issuer default ratings and long-term debt ratings of Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. and its subsidiary United States Cellular Corp.

Specifically affirmed were the company's identical issuer default rating at BBB; senior unsecured debt at BBB; and revolving credit facility at BBB.

The outlook is stable.

Fitch said that it believes the rating affirmation reflects TDS' solid financial profile that affords the company flexibility to offset past operational erosion in its wireless segment.
